We are very excited to add Dean to our staff! He will be helping with a few new clients as well as marketing for Beverly Cornell Consulting.
Dean’s Bio in his own words.
I am the kind of person who always takes your work very seriously, but never takes myself too seriously.
I consider myself to be a philanthropist – which literally means ‘a lover of people.’
Educational Background:
Bachelor’s Degree in Communications from Grand Valley State
Masters Degree in Business Administration from University of Phoenix
Graduate of the Dale Carnegie Leadership and Sales Courses.
Communications, Marketing & Sales Experience:
Work Experience:
I have been in sales, marketing, communications, and media almost all my life. My Motto: Have Pen, Will
Travel. I have written almost everything from training modules, press releases, website content,
brochures, and special event programs to the occasional shopping list for Costco. I have also served as a
freelancer for WWJ’s The Great Lakes IT Report, The Oakland Press and The Warren Weekly/ Madison-
Park News. I have been published in The U.S. Congressional Record (100th Congress, Second Session).
My copy has been read over the public address during Detroit Tiger’s games. From 2005 to 2016, I
owned Round Table Promotions and Publicity. I have always loved being around entrepreneurs. This is
the class of people who works hard to make it happen. I have had many great clients and performed a
number of interesting and fulfilling assignments along the way. I’m anxious to work with the team at
Beverly Cornell Consulting in a very similar fashion.
Teaching & Speaking:
I hosted The Third Thursday Roundtable for over eight years, where I had the pleasure to work with
many of the top speakers, leaders, and achievers in Southeast Michigan. I also was a host of two
podcasts: Prosperous Artists (along with social media expert and photographer Rosh Sillars) and On The
Dean’s List. I have been requested as a speaker on many topics; including channeling your creative
energy, how to write your next book, marketing success strategies and bridging the technology gap for
baby boomers.
Free Time:
I am married to Mary Ellen for almost 30 years and have three adult children: Eric, Laura Jean, and Leo;
at least they are chronologically adults. I love to putz and tinker around the house, and am always up to
hit up a concert, sit in a sidewalk café or run away on some new adventure. I enjoy the chance to
volunteer in secret with different organizations and been known to pack a food box, walk a 5K or write a
piece or two of copy for charities which I feel worthwhile. In between all this, I sleep.
