2019 Goals

2019 is here! How to get the most of your marketing goals this year.

Ah yes, 2019 is here. Resolutions have been made and broken. While we’ve been extremely busy these last few months, things will begin to die down in the coming weeks. While seasonal sales and specials will be disappearing for the next few months (hello, Valentine’s Day and Spring!), this is a great time for us to review the last year and prepare our goals for next year.

Reviewing The Past Year2019 Goals

While you’re going through your checklists, make sure you’re doing these things as well:

  • Analytics: How did your numbers change in the last year? When was your busiest time of the year? What did you do to make it the busiest time of year? The numbers don’t lie. It’s worth it to take some time to run through each and every statistic you keep tabs on and see the differences here.
  • Social Media: You didn’t think we’d skip over this one, did you? Of course not! With social media, you’ll want to take note of the posts that got you the most interactions. Did you have a call to action? Did it make a difference? What was your best performing post? How did your posts with videos compare to those with photos? How are your graphic designs? How can you improve these to make them more visually appealing?
  • Website: A new year means new trends. Make sure you take note of the trends to come to keep your own websites up to date. Did you update your website in the past year? If you did, did it make a positive impact on visitors and clicks? These are all things to keep track of.

While there are plenty of things to keep an eye on, these are some of the most important ones to keep an eye on in the coming year so you can reach your new goals.

What Will You Do Different Next Year?

It’s a good idea to keep a yearly document on hand (or somewhere you’ll always be able to reach it) so you can note these differences and keep on improving your goals. Ask your team to do the same. Different people have different perspectives so what you may not have caught, your coworker might! And remember, if you don’t feel you have the time to properly assess your business and make improvements and reach your goals, we are always here to help you.
