What Should I Post?

It’s important to keep in mind that you don’t have to have a holiday-themed post every single time you post on social media. While we want to celebrate the holidays, we don’t want to overdo it. Here are a few different things you may want to try posting.

Holiday Specials and Sales

Do you intend on having any special sales for the season? Make sure to post them. It’s important to keep these front and center so they’re noticeable. Change up the way you market these sales and keep it interesting and engaging. As for how often to post for these sales, we’ll get to that later.

Fun Holiday Posts

We’ve talked about the different types of engaging posts to do on Facebook; now it’s time to give them a little holiday twist. Try a ‘Caption This!’ with a cute or funny image, or a fill-in-the-blank post. Another great idea for a fun and engaging post would be a ‘What Do You Want For Christmas?’ If you’re selling pet goods, change it to what the pet wants for Christmas. There are a lot of ways to mix this one up to your liking!

How Often Do I Post?

When to comes to posting for the holidays, more is less. It’s expected that businesses will post more often due to multiple sales and deals. Of course, it all depends on how much your business has going on at the time as well. If you have events and sales going on, go ahead and post more often. You want your customers to know that you have these things going on and posting multiple times is the best way to get that point across.

Overall, posting during the holiday season is much different from posting during the remainder of the year. We center so much of what we do around these holidays. Remember that it is okay to post more often for your sales and events, but don’t forget to change it up. Don’t let your marketing tactics get boring. This is the time of the year to have fun with your posts on social media.
